Resources

Love God, Love your neighbor.” –John 3:16

Welcome to our Resources page — your hub for materials, links, and tools to support faith, worship, and community at St. Andrew’s in the Pines. Whether you’re exploring the Episcopal tradition, looking for teaching tools, or seeking ways to connect with the community, we’ve gathered a range of helpful resources.

  • Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta

We challenge ourselves and the world to love like Jesus as we worship joyfully, serve compassionately, and grow spiritually.

Nos desafiamos a nosotros mismos y al mundo a amar como Jesús mientras adoramos con alegría, servimos con compasión y crecemos espiritualmente.

  • Episcopal Church USA

The mission of The National Episcopal Church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” In step with that mission, we follow Jesus into loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, with each other, and with the earth.

Questions and Answers

Walking into a new situation can be intimidating. Here are some common questions; if you have others, please email us. We look forward to welcoming you!

  • Expect to be greeted with a smile and to be surrounded by a friendly community that joyfully welcomes newcomers. You’ll be handed a printed bulletin with the order of service that includes where to find prayers and hymns, if you wish to follow along.

Please sit in a pew in the sanctuary, wherever feels most comfortable to you.

  • We don’t expect anything. We hope that you will feel comfortable in God’s space, and we hope that you will ask any of us any questions you might have.

  • Our 8:00 service doesn’t include music and is about 45 minutes; the 10:00 a.m. service, with music, lasts a little more than an hour.

Sometimes we stand, sit, kneel, sing, say prayers together. You’re welcome to participate following the printed service bulletin – or not. Please worship as it feels right to you.

  • Dress comfortably for you. Some people dress in their Sunday best while others wear jeans and a shirt.

  • We embrace the noises and wiggles of infants and toddlers in our worship. We also offer nursery care for infants through 3-year-olds, and Children’s Chapel for 3 years old through 5th grade.

  • Our service is divided into two parts: the Liturgy of the Word (which centers around appointed readings from Hebrew and Christian Scripture) and the Liturgy of the Table, which centers around Communion.

  • Communion is the act of joining with God and each other at the altar, where we receive the bread and wine.

Communion is open to all baptized Christians and to all who feel called to know God more deeply.

  • After the 10:00 service, we gather in the Parish Hall for beverages and snacks. We hope you’ll join us!

  • We’d love to properly welcome you and get to know you a little better. You can fill out a visitor card in the back of the church pews or this online version.
